where to shop in Marbella
If you are lucky enough to be able to purchase a property in or around Marbella, you definitely have the best of the Costa del Sol. Located on the Mediterranean and benefitting from over 320 days sunshine per year, Marbella is a true playground for the rich and famous and for those looking to be able to share in a slice of pure pleasure. As you would expect, Marbella has something for everyone. The main road through Marbella is the main shopping road where you will find the usual high street suspects such as the banks, chemists, lawyers, and many clothing stores too. In addition, on many of the roads leading down to the beach front you will find additional shops as well as smaller boutiques and niche shops.
The Marbella sea front or Paseo del Maritimo is where you will find a large selection of restaurants and bars that comes alive at night with many bars with terraces overlooking the vast expanses of Marbella beach. There are several tapas bars around the sea front so one recommendation is to enjoy a cold drink at the end of a long day shopping watching the world go by from the promenade.
If you are after more shopping the old town El Casco Antiguo is where you can find even more shops including quite a few shoe stores, designer boutiques selling designer suits, jeans etc. as well as beauty stores selling the latest creams including Caudalie and Lavera brands for the more discerning Marbella resident.
A short distance down the road you will also reach Puerto Banus where you will find even more designer stores, trendy stores around the port and high fashion stores including most designers.
If Banus is not for you you can always venture just outside of Marbella to the La Cañada commercial centre - a large shopping centre with all the shops you could need all under one roof. There's a wide range of shops in and around Marbella and more than enough to cater for famililes as well as those looking to browse designer boutiques. More family orientated shopping may be found in Marbella and the shopping centres than perhaps in Puerto Banús so if you're shopping with small children and have a young family and need to know where you can buy everything for your baby in Spain, you will certainly find it in this area.
Whatever you are looking for, Marbella is sure to have it.
